Becca's Paws 'N' Claws is a small, independent pet care service based in Spennymoor, Merrington Park. What makes Becca different is that she does not just look after dogs. Cats, small mammals, reptiles, and aquatics are all welcome too.
Becca is fully insured and holds a Level 3 qualification in Animal Care from East Durham College. She has the knowledge and experience to look after all kinds of animals properly and safely.
Every pet gets individual attention tailored to their species, breed, and personality. Whether it is a playful puppy, a shy cat, or a bearded dragon, your pet is in safe, qualified hands.

Please read before booking
A 50% deposit must be secured in order to secure a slot/booking. This will not be returned if an owner cancels the booking.
It is mandatory that a free meet and greet with the pet and owner is scheduled 24hrs before the date of a service. (Excluding New Pet Prep).
A full payment of £60 must be paid upfront when booking a day visit, subject to the number of pets.
For dog walking, day visits and New Pet Prep, an additional fee must be paid if there are multiple pets being booked for the service(s).
Dogs are required to have a tag on their collar which displays the owner's full name and address. This can be an attached plate or tag. Under the Control of Dogs Order 1992.
No more than 5 dogs, cats or rabbits allowed on a booking due to insurance.
Please also note
- No banned breeds (XL bully breeds, Pit Bull Terrier, etc.) under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
- Dogs that have bitten or are a bite risk must wear a basket muzzle.
- No animals that fall under a dangerous wild animals licence (e.g. hybrid cats).
- Garden visits only when the temperature is above 20°C.
